Fieldwork Recorder brings the recording, timed route, notes, photos, drawings, and diary context into one field record. It is built for people who need to reconstruct what happened, where it happened, and what they saw while the audio was running.

New name, same app: Fieldwork Recorder was previously called Voice Voyager. Existing app identifiers, cloud folders, and website links remain valid.

Platform-specific features: Android can protect long recordings in recoverable parts. With GPS enabled, supported audio can carry its own timed location data. Photos and drawings can appear where they were made on the playback route. Full diary archives can be reviewed outside the phone.

Built for field records

Place follows the sound

A Track recording can carry route points tied to the audio timeline. During review, the map marker moves with playback, including after seeking. Learn how GPS travels with audio.

Observations have a moment

Add a photo or sketch while recording; its map marker can show where and approximately when it belongs. Tap that marker to inspect the image.

Long sessions have a recovery path

On Android, Safe long recording saves durable parts during capture and can rebuild an interrupted session from the parts that survived.

The archive stays useful

Search the diary, export one entry or the whole archive, and review exported material with the desktop diary reader where available.

Platform notes

Feature availability varies a little by device. Fieldwork Recorder is available on Android and iPhone/iPad. Android has the home-screen widget and the long-recording recovery tools. iCloud Drive sync is available only in compatible native iPhone and iPad builds. The desktop diary reader is a separate, read-only companion whose public distribution may differ from the mobile app. Features added in later project builds appear only after that build reaches your device; check the version in Settings.
